    • People continually seek after worldly wisdom
    • We (apostles) seek after spiritual things: truth and understanding of Christ crucified
    • You need to understand the truth of God to experience the power of God.  When you don’t, you become the victim of the adversary of God.
  2. The Cross Unifies Denominations
    • The Cross (Easter) unifies denominations.  Doctrines divide us.  Easter (death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ)
  3. The Cross is Before the Resurrection
    • “You cannot embrace the power of resurrection when you oppose the death on the cross.” –  PKO
    • Redemption comes from the cross, not resurrection (Galatians 3:13)
  4. The Cross is the Power of God at Work
    • 1 Corinthians 1:18 – message of the cross if foolishness to those who are perishing
    • Redemption, Love, Friendship at work. Romans 5:8

      • Trials are part of the package
      • Luke 9:23 – Carry your cross daily and follow Him. (Are you a civilian for Christ or a soldier for Christ?)
      • 2 Timothy 2:4:  God is looking for soldiers of the Cross
      • Are you a fan or a friend of the Cross?
        • Fans stick around when the going is good
        • Proverbs 18:24 – there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother
        • John 15:14 – do what He commands

      • Keep your conviction.  When you keep your conviction, you run the race to the end and remain a conqueror.” – PKO
    • Sharing your Stand
      • Continue in fellowship with Christ so His power continues to rest on you and people around you will see the power of God in your life.
      • You become the epistle for others to read.  Let your life minister to people around you.
      • Don’t be shy to speak about the Power of Christ.  1 Corinthians 2:4
      • It was boldness through baptism of the Holy Spirit that transformed cowardly dicsiples to courageous apostles.
