Proverbs 29:18 (KJV): Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Isaiah 32:8 (AMP): But the noble man conceives noble and magnificent things; And he stands by what is noble and magnificent.

  1. Vision Is
    • Seeing the invisible and making it visible
      • accurate vision of what God is saying about you
      • Every invention is a product of a vision
    • Revelation or inspiration gearing towards the future
      • Better tomorrow.  If they cannot envision a better tomorrow, they quit along the way.
    • Ability to picture the future the future (how will your tomorrow be?)
      • If you want to feature in the future you have to have vision and run by it.” – PKO
    • The trademark of leaders and tools of world changers
      • Run with it; don’t only talk about it
      • Many tines we are man in a mission not man with a vision; he needs to have something in mind
      • (fighting for tomorrow) – street fighters instead of world changers
      • Genesis 13:14 – Lot and Abraham ‘And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:’
  2. Some Key Points about Vision
    • Gives pain a purpose
      • Run with it to realize it
      • Without vision, people take the easy way out
      • Peter – fisher of men vs. a fisherman
    • Requires sacrifice
      • Give up things to pursue your vision
      • Matthew 19:27 – 29 (KJV) ‘Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.’
    • Requires faith
      • If you yourself cannot believe in your vision, no one will believe in you / your vision
    • Requires determination
      • Friends who cut the roof Mark 2:1 – 12 (faith)
      • 1 Samuel 30:6 – David encouraged himself : ‘And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.’
    • Requires self motivation
      • Often anchor our limitation on situation.  It is usually imagination. You need to have the right imagination.  Any time there is a will there is a way.
      • Willpower depends on your imagination not your limitation nor your situation.
    • Vision stimulates passion
      • Passion takes you where ordinarily you may never get to
