2 Kings 7: 3 – 9

  1. Introduction
      • Story of Desperation (You feel detached from others due to the COVID-19 crises)
      • Story of Discovery
      • Story of Duty (Neglect because of what you have gone through or what you are going through)
    • Every one has the desire to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.  The only way you can get to heaven is through death, unless you are around for the Rapture
    • All they could see was death – resign to fate or rise to faith
    • Challenge the status quo – family situations, life of trouble, job loss,
    • God puts us through trials and tribulations because He wants to
      • promotes us through trials, tribulations – prove that did you really trust him.
      • Protect us
      • Look for opportunities in the problem;
      • “Problems are the price of progress” – Charles Kettering
      • “These trials, tribulations and temptations are there to push you to the position of your testimony.” – PKO. Discover something to transform your life /home.  Move ahead into you miracle.  It is when you move that God will move.
  2. Steps for Recovery
    • Face reality of your life– Correct evaluation of your life; put the right value on your life so you can live a life of purpose
      • When you cannot really estimate your worth, the world will underestimate you.
    • Understand the situation:  when you don’t understand, your comments and contribution may be inappropriate
      • Helps you in devising the next steps
      • Do a thorough assessment of the current situation.  “Query your current state to give a reason to desire a better state and have a better understanding of your situation.” – PKO
      • Understand your situation and benchmark it with your goal
    • Factor in the Risk – there is nothing that does not have risk
      • The higher the risk, the greater the gain
      • No risk, no reward
      • Staying at the same spot is a sign of complacency.  There are always better days ahead!
      • Too much comfort will only lead to complacency
      • Lepers took the risk; time and chances happen to them all
        • Took steps of boldness
        • They marched forward instead of turning back
        • Starving or sword (Lepers chose the sword)
        • Examples of people who took high risks but lived: Esther, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego, Daniel, Paul (2 Corinthians 11)
    • Follow through the action
      • Faith without works is dead
      • Analysis takes you nowhere.  Take the action.
      • For the lepers, doing nothing meant death and starvation
      • Analysis with action means no progress
      • There is opportunity and abundance waiting for you on the other side; Cross over all the obstacles
